My goal in breeding Chihuahuas is to come as close as possible to the AKC breed standard. I strive to breed typey, sound, healthy puppies with excellent temperaments and personality plus! I breed primarily for myself, and not for the latest fads (such as merles or teacups) to attract potential puppy buyers. 

Most importantly, my Chihuahuas are much-loved members of my family.  All of them are house dogs, Chihuahuas are not suited to a kennel situation and should never be kept that way.  I generally have eight (or fewer) adult dogs at a time. Additionally, my Chihuahuas are my show dogs as well as my breeding stock, I do not have 'brood bitches' or dogs over 6 lbs.  Though I am a show breeder, sometimes a puppy is just not suited for the show ring, so he or she becomes available to the right home as a companion. While these Chihuahuas may never become a show champion, they will make someone a wonderful pet. I do not take deposits on unborn or newly born puppies to "hold" a puppy. Since true show quality is not born in every litter, my puppies are closely watched and evaluated before any companions are ever offered for sale, and then I carefully screen potential families to make sure they are a perfect fit.
